19 people in Japan Nuclear Radiation Exposure


Fukushima Prefectural Government says it has confirmed that an additional 19 people have been exposed to radiation from nuclear power plants. To -19 person is a refugee from Futaba, a city located near the nuclear reactor at the Fukushima No. 1.

The government says the 19 residents will need to undergo decontamination to remove radioactivity. As reported at this time a nuclear reactor coolant is facing difficulty in cooling the two nuclear power stations.

Plant number 1 and number two emergency generators in the damaged reactor. This makes very difficult to pump water into a reactor. Tokyo Electric Power Company, has conducted a number of cooling steps by the generator to move but this move failed because the equipment was also damaged by the tsunami.

On Saturday, the government and the Agency for Nuclear Safety Industries has found a leak near radioaktor of reactor number 1 on the power station number 1. The agency announced some fuel in the reactor was partially melted.
