Philippine Communist rebels Fuel Vehicles, 2 Killed

Two bus driver burned to death on Saturday (5 / 3) morning in the Philippines. At that time, armed communist rebels set fire to their vehicle.

A small group of armed men broke into a remote base on the island of Biliran buses before dawn Saturday and poured gasoline into the parked vehicles.

"The owner of the vehicle up and saw a bus-bus was burned trying to rescue the driver who fell asleep in the vehicles," said Senior Superintendent Alfredo Sabornido, the provincial police chief told reporters by telephone.

Two driver burnt to death. It is not clear the attackers know the two people were sleeping in the vehicle during the attack.

Police later arrested two suspects at a checkpoint. "The investigation-a preliminary investigation showed that the members of the NPA's extortion," said national police spokesman Chief Inspector bicata Agrimero Cruz told reporters.
