Tsunami Photographs Japanese (1)

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TOKYO-8.9 earthquake on the Richter scale that occurred in the waters of Tokyo Friday afternoon resulted in six-meter-high tsunami waves that hit several towns in the country. Some areas in Japan which was hit by the tsunami, among others, Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture, Ichikawa, and Iwaki in Fukushima Prefecture.

The following camera shots of the tsunami that devastated some areas in Japan:

Figures 1 and 2: Images from the Station NHK showed the tsunami swept away houses in Sendai, Japan East. The quake also triggered fires as shown in Figure 2.

Figure 3: In a broadcast on NHK this picture, it appears the flames out of the petrochemical plant in Ichikawa, near Tokyo.

Figure 4: The floods that caused the tsunami in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture.
