TOKYO - Two days after a massive earthquake and deadly tsunamis in the east coast of the island Honsu, communication is still not stable condition. Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corp. claimed 475,400 fiber-optic service is disconnected.
This number rose 76,500 fiber are terminated service on Saturday night. In addition there are 879,500 telephone lines are still able to access subscription service in the city of Iwate and Miyagi.
A total of 11,400 BTS mobile operator NTT DoCoMo Inc., KDDI Corp. and Softbank Mobile Corp. also are powerless until Sunday morning. These conditions interfere with phone calls and emails via mobile phones across a wide area.
Area in Iwate, Miyagi prefecture and seven others remain unable to receive TV signals. While the military has saved approximately 5800 people in the city of Miyagi.
